The concrete coatings in Los Angeles and Orange County are what add to the attractiveness of so many homes in these areas.

One of the newest and catchiest trends for indoor design is concrete flooring. Floors in living rooms, family rooms, kitchens, even bedrooms are now being done in concrete. Resurfacing and refinishing can be done to existing floors, or if you are constructing a house, coatings can be done to new surfaces.
There are numerous colors and styles of concrete coating to choose from. Colors can be stained or pained. The concrete coatings are easy to clean. Outdoor surfaces can be sprayed clean with a garden hose.
What to Know if Hiring a Contractor to Do Concrete Coating
When hiring a contractor to install a concrete coating there are certain requirements that the contractor may ask and that you would need to prepare for. In preparation of the job you might want to remove all furniture, appliances, vehicles, etc. from the area to be surfaced, unless prior arrangements have been made. If doing an outdoor surfacing or refinishing, all outdoor sprinklers would need to be turned off in advance and remain off 24 hours after the job is complete. Your contractor may advice you that if you are sensitive to odors avoid the work area for at least several hours because the products used may produce a strong odor. This odor could persist for up to 72 hours following the application so keep this in mind and prepare to avoid the area if you are sensitive to strong smells. It is also advised that no one walk on the new coating for 24 hours following completion of the application.
The new coating would not change the condition of the existing flooring structure, but some trowel marks and texture variations are normal in the application of coating. Also, because of climate conditions and uncertain ground movement, some cracking along the joints and existing cracks in the substrate.
